Dr Danielle Einstein is an Adjunct Fellow at Macquarie University specialising in anxiety and technology use. She is known for her research on social media use, OCD and managing uncertainty. She is also a practicing Clinical Psychologist in Sydney, providing treatment of anxiety with adolescents and adults. Her published research and practical advice are regularly quoted in the media.
Dr Einstein has led research in the area of uncertainty since smart phones were introduced into adolescents’ lives. Her research shows how anxiety is connected to social media use and shines a light onto the 65% of students in the 13 - 15 year old age group whose anxiety is affected.
Danielle has an in-depth understanding of the strengths and limitations of school prevention work and research. She has developed, delivered and evaluated interventions for students in Years 7 to 12 with initiatives delivered by teachers, arts educators, psychologists, clinical psychologists and online programs at over 25 schools and across several research trials and partnerships in Australia and overseas.
